Subject: Data-driven design of modular homes
Speaking at: Explore Offsite Housing, Birmingham - March 23 & 24
Renee is an architect and a technology entrepreneur. He is a co-founder of Creatomus Solutions - a construction technology start-up that connects buyers to off-site manufacturing. Renee has been involved in developing technologies for the construction sector since 2005, and currently leads a DfMA team designing new modular housing concepts.
He has started a number of successful business ventures and worked on several innovative property technology solutions. Having finished his formal training and started professional career as an architect in Estonia, he completed MSc in Computing and Design as well as a PhD in Architecture at the University of East London. His company Creatomus Solutions has developed over 25 online house configurators for the UK, US, Scandinavian, and Swiss markets.
Speaking on day one of Explore Offsite Housing, Renee will explore how Offsite manufacturers and custom build developers increasingly rely on 3D interactive house configurators for automating their sales processes and managing customer choice. Online configurator technology can harvest data about buyer’ preferences. The captured data reveals interesting market trends and some unexpected behavioural patterns that can serve as a valuable input to designing flexible house products to closely fit the market demand. The presentation will reveal how online configurators work, highlight the key findings of the data analysis, and touch upon the data-driven design of modular homes.
