Director of Technology and Innovation
People for Places
Subject: Industry 4.0
Speaking at: Explore Offsite Housing, Birmingham - March 23 & 24
Having recently joined Places for People from Siemens, Julie aims to bring an Industry 4.0 approach to offsite housing manufacturing, and has already been successful in securing Innovate UK funding to help achieve a step change in MMC housing delivery.
Alongside developing a new approach to planning, design and manufacturing of homes, Julie is also working towards digitising the asset base to transform the way asset management will operate in future. Optimising the stock data, developing digital tools for greater visibility of stock condition and using it as a means of real time information flows will augment ambitious plans to redraw the framework within which housing delivery and asset management will operate in the future. Julie is also driving the environmental sustainability agenda at Places for People where zero carbon objectives will now be an integral part of their future ready housing delivery programme.
Speaking on Day Two of Explore Offsite Housing Julie will be discussing how Industry 4.0 is being brought to offsite manufacturing and has already been successful in securing Innovate UK funding to help achieve a step change in MMC housing delivery. It has been announced that the largest deal in the residential sector has been made between Ilke Homes and People for Places.
